A Place is Printed: Japanese Woodcut Print Demonstration with Daniel Heyman

Painter and printmaker Daniel Heyman demonstrated Japanese color woodblock printmaking techniques for the second seminar group on March 21, 2015. In this section we include photos and a video from that demonstration.

Daniel graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College and received his MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. He currently teaches at the Rhode Island School of Design as well as at other universities and art schools. Daniel trained in the art of Japanese color woodblock printing in Japan and takes a group of RISD students to Japan every year to learn about papermaking and printmaking.
