A place is ...

As part of the coursework for the Spring 2015 Penn-PMA Curatorial Seminar taught by Professor Julie Davis and Curator Shelley Langdale at the University of Pennsylvania, students wrote essays inspired by the concept of "a sense of place." Abstracts of these papers and summaries of student presentations on "famous" sites in Philadelphia are included here, along with a video of Daniel Heyman's demonstration of Japanese woodblock printmaking.
